Welcome to the JC Tai Chi website.

Jamie CopeI hope this website can answer some of your questions relating to the fascinating art of Tai Chi Chuan and help you on the road to a sound understanding of how Tai Chi works.

The Chief instructor of Jc Tai Chi is Jamie Cope with over 17 years experience of Tai Chi and other related Arts.

As a teenager Jamie studied "Kali" a martial art from the Philippines, which was popular at the time in his home town of Grimsby and enjoyed many training sessions in his local park with friends.

The park at the time attracted people of all kinds of practice including Tai chi where Jamie first saw and was introduced to the art. At this time martial arts were popular and Jamie also had the opportunity to practice Bagua Zhang,Hsing-I and gain valuable insights into the subtle workings of Chi Gung. These first few years gave Jamie a sound foundation and allowed
freedom and growth within the art of Tai Chi.

In the following years Jamie was very lucky to train with some the best teachers not only in his local area but from around the world.

Jamie still studies hard working daily to explore the finer concepts of Tai Chi. His aim is to make Tai Chi more practical for the everyday person to develop a healthy body and mind. By clearing away the flowery talk often used to describe Tai Chi,but instead using a simple and clear approach to gain real knowledge and understanding.
